From Friday 12 August 2016, the Big Screen Portsmouth overnight safety messages will be receiving a brand new updated design.
The overnight messaging service was first implemented in March 2015 in partnership with Hampshire Constabulary, the Safer Portsmouth Partnership, Portsmouth City Council and The University of Portsmouth.
he idea, to provide Portsmouth with an engaging messaging system that will attempt to discourage anti-social behaviour, have those who like to enjoy their evenings think about their surrounding areas and to provide information that they may not be aware of, such as the public toilets opening hours.
The new design incorporates a more vibrant messages, displaying the same written text but in a more engaging way that will attract more eyes. The messages are also shorter now, meaning more to read on the journey through Guildhall Square.
The Big Screen will continue to update these messages through the partnership streams in hope of keeping the public in Portsmouth safer whilst enjoying their nights out.
