On Sunday 13 November 2016, thousands from across the city will stand in Portsmouth's Guildhall Square to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts.
The Sunday service will start at 10:50am on the steps of the Portsmouth Guildhall and will continue into the square and around the corner to the cenotaph.
Local dignitaries will be in attendance, including Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, David Fuller and will be joined by a representative of the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, to lead the Civic Delegation. Serving military personnel and members of ex-service groups will parade on to the square at 10:50am, led by The Royal Marines Band. The parade will also include representatives from local Cadet Corps, and Reservists.
The service will broadcast live on the Big Screen by students of The University of Portsmouth's Television and Broadcasting BSc course via The Creative and Cultural Industries Television Channel (CCI TV).
