Public Safety Message Update

In line with the Big Screen visual update (to become more engaging) this week, we have worked to produce brand new public safety messages that play every Friday, Saturday and Sunday to discourage anti-social activity and to encourage cooperation between the public and door staff.

We've been working with the Community Safety Project Officer of Portsmouth City Council who had this to say:

“Since August 2014 ‘The Safer Portsmouth Partnership’ and ‘The Big Screen Portsmouth’ have worked in partnership to present and display public service information for revellers using the night-time economy. The messages displayed on ‘The Big Screen Portsmouth’ aim to raise awareness of facilities available in the City and promote safe, responsible enjoyment of the Town Centres vibrant night life.

From advice about getting home safe to the location of toilets that are open late, ‘The Big Screen’ is a fantastic tool for delivering up to date information where it’s needed most, with tonight’s conversion to animated messages the ‘Big Screen’ really shows off its potential to assist in the upkeep of our Historic Waterfront City.”

These messages will go live on Friday 13 March between 11pm - 3am.
