Journeys International Festival 2017 Returns To The Big Screen Portsmouth

On Saturday, 21 October the Big Screen Portsmouth will join other venues across the city in showcasing artwork as part of the Journeys International Festival.

Journeys Festival International Portsmouth proudly presents a unique collaboration between local artists Majid Dhana and Natalia Michalska. Together they photographed Portsmouth's refugee and asylum seeker community, working with participants to illustrate portraits that are visually striking and provide an important message to the wider public.

Presented in large scale artworks across the city, United Tribe gives visibility to Portsmouth's refugee community. Find the artworks around Portsmouth, join one of the Art Walks or get involved in a workshopo to discover the personal stories behind the portraits.

This year's Look Up artists were selected from an open call and have been awarded a six week residency at Aspex. The Big Screen will display 6 pieces of artwork that you will be able to see these displayed at 2 and 32 minutes past each hour.
