From today, those uploading content to the Big Screen Portsmouth have the option to share their videos nationally with the other Big Screens across the country set up by the BBC for the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Content producers across the city are welcome to upload video footage that’s creative, diverse, entertaining, cultural and educational. Musicians are encouraged to upload their music videos, local artists are encouraged to upload their masterpieces and photographers are encouraged to upload their stunning snaps onto the Big Screen Portsmouth.

Content providers can now give permission for their work to be shown on our partner Big Screens in cities across the country including Bristol, Swansea, Bradford, Plymouth, Woolwich, Swindon and Leeds.

Producer of the Big Screen Portsmouth, Oliver Ing said,

“This is a fantastic opportunity for hard-working content providers to gain maximum exposure on a national scale. By working with the other screens within the Big Screen network, we’re now able to share videos that highlight our wonderful city and its talented people. It’s a very exciting step for us, in the right direction.”

Producers are encouraged to upload their content today at bigscreenportsmouth.co.uk. All submissions are subject to review before being added onto the Big Screen Portsmouth. The Big Screen Portsmouth is a partnership between Portsmouth City Council and The University of Portsmouth.
